I was brought up in a home where Louis Armstrong's Hot Five were revered and where Kenny Ball's Jazzmen were laughed at so it's a tad hard to me to enthuse over an album series where praise and worship greatest hits are trad jazzed up. But then, this kind of music is meant to produce a smile and it's quite competently done. There are in fact two trad jazz ensembles on offer here, one produced by Bob Cranham offering the bulk of the tracks and the other produced by Les Moir (and featuring that wondrous hornman Raul D'Oliveira) offering three numbers. If you liked Vol 1 you'll like this.
