This quartet of rappers' first 6-track mini-album was a bit naff, the band not really deciding whether to settle on rock-rap with power chords et al or go for the funkier stuff. Well the funk's won out and producer Fred Hammond (the Comissioned man) has come up with a set of torrid dance tracks that kick hard. Chris 'D-Vine MC' Williams is the most effective rapper specializing in some delightfully rapid tongue twisters and though the lady Kathy 'Virtuous MC' Sims is less effective her occasional interjections give a nice counterbalance. The programming is hot with plenty of rhythmic variations, the use of sampled fragments effective and often witty and the lyrics straight-in-your-face proclamations. Superior gospel rap.

A 20 year journey looking for this group. I only heard 1 song of theirs off a mix casette I had found back in 1992ish? I always wondered if they had CD out anywhere but I never found them. I take it from the post that maybe they might read this @ some point and send me a message.

KATHY & ANDRE' - Its amazing how a short song can cause impact. It goes to show you that "Gods making it happen!"

Hey. i've been doing some research for the past few years. I wanted to know if any one contacts Andre or his wife Kathy. They are my Godparents. they were great friends with my parents (now deceased). Over the years i have lost contact with them. So can some one relay the message to them that there "Godson" is doing well in florida. And tell Josiah i said hello.

I came across this post and thought I would fill in some gaps. Dr. Andre' & Kathy Sims are living in Federal Way, WA, where Andre' is Senior Pastor at a local church. They have 2 children.
