Translucent is the latest musical incarnation for one Ben Lilford, previously working under the names Psionics and Sonicflux. Here are a couple of tracks with their feet firmly planted in hip hop but with enough other influences to create something that sounds defiantly British and definitely creative. Whether it's the irony of "We Are The Dead" with its anti-consumerist message or the groovy sixties samples that underpin "Fear Of The Unknown", this is fresh and interesting uncompromising stuff. Really love this and I wanna hear more!
