If you like your male voice choir pure, unadulterated by musical accompaniment and in large quantities, then this collection will appeal to you enormously. Comprising of mainly trad hymns such as "Fight The Good Fight", "Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah" (surprising selection, that one boyo) and "Jesus Shall Reign", you get the full Welsh treatment and value for money to boot...24 tracks and over an hour in length. However, there is a major downside and it's not the content, which represents quite well the great treasury of hymns that we have, but the lack of variety in style and approach: the hymns are all treated in the same way, same multi layered harmonies all the time, a bombardment of saminess...it leaves you gasping for experimentation and the presence of instruments. For a select group this will be a hymn feast to die for, but for most, I fear, a snack of three or four would suffice.
