4 songs with guitars (largely acoustic), piano and drums so don't expect dazzling examples of the pop arranger's art. But everything fits, vocalists John Grummitt and Gareth Davies have effecting voices and the piano fills of John Raine fill out the sound nicely. The songs, all by Gareth Davies, are spiritually direct yet free of cliché. I particularly liked the bubbly opener "Son On The Window" ("Well it seems that I suffer from a common disease/Kind've average on the outside but rotten underneath") though they should have redone the slightly flat vocals on "Three Kings". But no matter, perky music-with-a-message from a bright new name. Good artwork too guys.
