Danger of writers cramp, copying out these black gospel choir names. Why can't they use something neat, eg, Tyrone And The Blockheads? Oh well, to the music, which it must be said rarely rises above well-trodden gospel clichés both musically and lyrically. Even something as dynamic as this exciting vocal style becomes boring when it's yet another rehashing of what we have heard countless times. There's a tendency common to this music for the experiences and enjoyment of 'self to have at least equal billing with the glory of the Lord making it virtually 'soul' music. Needs watching. A rather average album, good old Milton Brunson presents the set; for the real stuff get hold of his outfit.
