University Of The King are Rob, Kev and David and a part of Birmingham's arts collective Zang Productions. According to their bio they "make most of our albums for dares, and a desire to do things we're not comfortable with. We like to go as far as the dare may take us." This explains the creative eccentricity that is embedded into the album, "Oops" among others! Overall, 'Look Out For Germs' manages to fuse some seriously sick beats infused with luscious samples, surrealism ("Epitaph Of A Blues Player") and similes. It's quite a grooving and exciting mix ("Rite Of Selm Esteem"), with many threads of humour interlacing the project "Pull Back Swing" and the pulsatingly amusing "Did They Beat The Disease". We enjoy sampled instrumental moments (the swinging "My Big Brother") and moments with some synth-filled grooves "The Evil Eviltron Gives An Evil Laugh". We end on a progressively thoughtful note with "Bonus" with a unique angle on Nat King Cole's "Christmas Song". But of course!
