Hi ya, all ye clubbers out there! I think you will probably soon find yourselves buying "Subscribe To The Vibe", the long awaited CD of London's trendselling Christian club Abundant. In case you haven't read our feature yet, the album features serious club music combined with a vibe of worship which is easy to enter in. Producers Cameron Dante (Preacha), MalttWanstall (occasional member of Breakspear), Ant Norris, Martin Howes (Abundant's popular deejay), Trevor Loveys. Si Levell, Ferno, Paul Cooper and Marc Cooper have all submitted backing tracks to which Roy Johnson has put some scaring gospel vocal tracks. Lovers of clubdance will recognise some of the vibes here. Take for instance the track "Warning" by Quippo. A real Cameron sound I'd say! Or "Eflorescence" by Ikon. It could have been on 'Global Transmission! Quite an interesting track is "I See You" by T Wac which features a Zarc 'kick' with Dante adding the clubby elements. The most "commercial" track is "Soul" by OS I. This track may find its way to getting regular airplay. Club deejays however will probably prefer tracks like the brilliant "Love Change" by Ferno and the previously mentioned cut by Quippo. There are also some tracks with a more ambient feeling like "Live For Live" by Nativ Soul and "Ultraglow" by Fragrance. The album is a fair example of-what's actually going on in the Christian club scene. Although the only style on the album is clubdance. probably quite a lot of the tracks will bring you into safe higher spaces.
