I have never really been the world's greatest fan of the compilation album, but this one really takes the biscuit. We were previously blessed with 'California Metal (Vols 1 & 2)' and 'East Coast Metal' all freely imported into Europe. Now Word (UK) offer 'Classic Metal' (nothing classic about it folks - apart from the picture on the cover!) a selection of tracks taken from the 'California Metal' and 'East Coast Metal' albums. So there is nothing new to be found here. Maybe the record company feel that people who listen to metal are stupid enough to pay for the same music twice over, I think they may be in for a surprise. The only tracks by Rage Of Angels - "Don't Give Up" and "Do You Still Believe In Love", are strange song titles for a band seemingly no longer following Christ. No, sorry folks but this album just does not warrant a £6.99 price tag, though if you are new to white metal it may be worth a look I suppose.
