An interesting one this. For one thing, it came out in 2002, so apologies for our lateness in drawing it to your attention. For another, this is most definitely NOT your standard worship compilation, perhaps achieving the record company's aims. This is the brainchild of veteran producer and record execBilly Smiley, and while you do get Daniel's Window covering "Open The Eyes Of My Heart" (what's with the cheesy spoken word interludes?) you also get incredibly hard-rocking and worshipful (in the broad rather than congregational sense) tracks from the excellent Justifide, Pillar and East West, as well as even more left-field contributions from Fold Zan, softer pop from Beki Hemingway and even hip hop from Cal Logic. An album that defies classification, and one which pushes the boundaries as what counts as "worship" in our narrow, legalistic modern mindset. It does exactly what it says on the tin.
