Earlier this year, Boston-based Christian punk rock band A Common Goal's lead singer and guitarist Mike May died suddenly and this compilation sees various like-minded acts group together to help raise funds for the dear man's family. Fittingly, May's old band kicks proceedings off in the thundering fashion with the heart-wrenchingly candid title track before various groups including the Pint Killers, the Bricks and Platoon 1107 interpret some ACG tunes with affection. All involved capture the rough and ready garage/grunge sound of May and his buddies along with the group's ability to speak about matters of faith and social issues without compromise making this a fitting tribute to the much-missed May and a comfort to his loved ones.
