At long last Paul Young's Christian bestseller has made it to the big screen! For those not familiar with this outstanding Christian novel, it is a fictional story of the tragic and mysterious disappearance of a small young girl. The title comes from where the main character Mack is asked to come and meet God and find answers to one of the most difficult things anyone of us can ever imagine. I found the film worked exceptionally well, keeping pretty well to the story of the book, and portrayed the Christian faith in a most positive light. I was surprised by the strong country directions this album takes but then country star Tim McGraw plays a role in the film as Willie, the best friend of the leading male character Mack. Artists include Tim and his wife Faith Hill singing "Keep Your Eyes On Me" (which closes the film's title credits), country group Lady Antebellum, the very popular Dierks Bentley and Brett Eldridge with the appealing "Phone Call To God". The non-country contributors are just as strong. Modern worship maestros Hillsong United are well up to standard and the album closes with a really unusual version of "Amazing Grace" by For King & Country. If you've enjoyed the book or now the film, you'll find a lot to enjoy here.
