Tom Clay, Becky Rewse and Dan Cook are Veetacore, a new band from Bournemouth whose infectious three track debut EP promises much for the future. Whether it's Dan's driving rhythms, Tom's explosive guitar or Becky's strong vocals, this is indie power pop at its best. "Battle Of Dogger Bank" is a magnificent punchy opener which takes no prisoners. "Taize" may have started life as a worshipful chant but that all changed in the studio and instead it's a throbbing masterpiece of rock disguised as an act of worship. "Planets" features fluid lyric guitar lines and some fab vocals. And this is all just the beginning, the freshest earliest recordings of the band available as a download. I can't wait to see what happens when they spend some more time in the studio.
