In this particular episode of the increasingly popular family entertainment series, Archibald The Artichoke (you know, the veg with the posh British accent) has taken over the show in an attempt to provide some high culture. The resulting effect is a pastiche on two quintessentially British institutions - Shakespeare and Gilbert & Sullivan. In the former, the likeable vegetables perform "Omelette" rather than "Hamlet" with the immortal line "Alas poor yolk, I chewed it well, Horatio. . ." For the latter the silly song is replaced by a supposedly classy (but just as silly as usual) Victorian parlour style song about Larry's top hat followed by "Lyle The Kindly Viking", a 10 minute musical inspired by Pirates Of Penzance. It's a fast paced, hilarious caper from start to finish that both adults and kids will find hugely entertaining. The songs are first rate, the animation excellent and the production second to none. This is Christian family entertainment at its best and will not disappoint.
