Wowsers! Our God is good, and on the evidence of this, he likes it when his people rock in response to his glory. Must admit I've never heard a worship album of any sort featuring such passion along with tightness of playing, for which the musicians and leaders, as well as producer Paul Burton, should be commended. Reactivating the live Winds Of Worship series, this was cut at Vineyard UK's Doing The Stuff conference from musicians who played and led on the impressive 'Beautiful' and 'Hold On' albums. From start to finish this album invites the listener to appreciate something of the sheer volume of God's glory. From Nigel Briggs's "Shine On" to Marc James's remake of the Brenton Brown song "Holy", which features incendiary guitars, to Sam Lane's "Beautiful", which builds from a minimalist start to an extraordinarily passionate climax, and taking in songs old and new ("Draw Me Close/Come And Fill Me Up"), this album has something for everyone. The music is tight and captivating, the songs give God the glory, this is a worship album all lovers of Godly rock should investigate.
