The considerable effort that has gone into providing not only the recordings themselves on this 29-minute CD but also supporting instrumental versions, chord charts and lyrics sheets for each of the eight tracks is probably the best thing that can be said for this offering. In fairness it could also be argued that the content is somewhat unusual/interesting in that a number of 'grown up' songs are included ("Here I Am To Worship", "Dwell' and "You Are Mighty") but by the same token this may be one of this recording's most serious weaknesses; what child can meaningfully sing "And I'll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross" or "Dwell in the midst of us; come and have your way" or "I bow down to the Lamb"? Some decent rhythms may be found across the recording, there is variety in the feel and tempos and the children sing well, but there are very few children-friendly images of God or his power, with the lyrics consisting mainly of the kind of worship statements adults make in their songs, and in truth little other than the colourful sleeve and kids choir to make this a 'children's' album.
