This latest Vineyard collection is so polished you can see your face in it, yet it still fails to shine. The Anaheim tradition of prestige in exported praise is retained here by professionalism and a few interesting arrangements rather than originality. Brief interludes into country ("You Give Me Love") and gospel ("We Bring Praise") break the monotony, but the lyrics fail to inspire as in the earlier 'Wounded Soldier' days. It celebrates, as it aims to do, but should it seen so shallow? An absence of more thoughtful tracks brings the album dangerously close to the "isn't life wonderful?" mentality some Christians are slammed for. Seldom deep and never daring, this album seems destined to fade into the background whenever it is played. Although the bout of recorded applause would have you believe otherwise, this is a million miles away from live worship, and it shows.
