"Do NOT disturb me again!" scolded our young son as we listened to this one. To be more precise, he was listening, caught up in the worshipful atmosphere of track 11, "Abba Father". I had just snorted with distaste as the young soloist had to scoop up to a top note. My husband was pointing out the "very obvious" programmed rhythm track. (Obvious if you're a music graduate!) But if the aim of a CCM album is to get its target audience hooked on to worship, then this one scores. Unlike many American starlets, these youngsters (with a little help from adult "guide vocals") have genuine musicality, they are well drilled, they look like real kids (in the insert photo) and when they sing of being called to follow Jesus and love him more each day ("Generation Filled With Righteousness"), they sound like they really believe it. The only time they falter is in the Jewish-style "We Will Shout For Joy", a pity, because that (together with the other pastiche numbers, "Good News" and "My Very Best Friend") is one of the better compositions. The rest are fairly unmemorable.
