Vineyard over the years have issued many outstanding worship recordings including a number of Christmas albums. Vineyard albums feature an impressive number of worship leaders and musicians from Vineyard fellowships. Maybe it's this which enables many of their releases to draw the listener in on the recording with a degree of intimacy often lacking in other CDs. This compilation is taken from previous releases and achieves just that, despite the majority of songs being very familiar to the listener with "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen" and "Silent Night" being examples. More impressive are some outstanding original songs such as the beautiful "Humble King" written by Brenton Brown. My only complaint is the lack of information that comes with the CD as it contains no artist or original album details. If you are looking for a worshipful music experience amongst the usual commercial pop churned out every Christmas, this set is worthy checking out.
