If you've been a follower of R&B gospel over the last few years you'd know that Virtue, three soul sisters from Huntsville, Alabama, are one of Christendom's finest. Maybe
not as innovative as Out Of Eden, maybe not as funkily sassy as Trin-i-tee 5:7 but still three ladies able to make quality, modern R&B with lyrics pitched at the spirit rather than the groin. Their albums, 'Get Ready' from 1999, 'Virtuosity' from 2001 and 'Free' from 2003, are all excellent, full of strong soulful leads, funky rhythms and tasty harmonies. If you missed them, this compilation gives you most of the best cuts as well as some obscurer items from various artists projects. If that wasn't enough you also get some commentaries from the girls. A nicely done compilation.

Dear Virtue:

Your right You just got to be your self, and why worry when God is in control. Yet, yet when I try to be my self, I am claimed for living in the past, being rude and that is not cool, Lord knows I am still praying on that, trying to be something I'm not, talking to much or to loud. Well I do not like any of the above, so I just keep praying all though it is said that God helps them who help themselves; Lord Prepare Keep Preparing Me to Be a Santurary Kind and True, That I May Be A Whole Person Rightly Divided In True, Kindness, and Purity,amen!
