Here's a rarity; poems delivered over a backing of various gospel standards and hymns. Vivien's been doing this in her native Northern Ireland for some 20 years and this CO has been released by public demand, according to the lady herself. To be honest, I'm not totally convinced it works. The poems are a mixture of gentle humour and what I suppose could be termed modern day parables. Musically it's okay, if a little unsteady at times, but it lopes along in country fashion. Vivien's delivery is similarly unspectacular, but that Irish lilt more than compensates.
