Product Description

Wallingford Parish Choir would like to present their debut album The Hymns Album.

The choir are no strangers to fame since they regularly appear as the fictional choir of Causton in the TV programme causing controversy in the news at the moment, Midsomer Murders! They recently won a nationwide X-Factor style search to find Britain’s favourite parish choir. Judges waded through hundreds of entries from all corners of the British Isles after placing ads in religious and national press. In a further twist, worthy of a TV drama, Wallingford Choir would never have entered the competition were it not for local resident and the man behind the Spice Girls, ex-Managing Director of Virgin Records Paul Conroy, who spotted the ad in a newspaper and urged the choir to ‘go for it’.

Included in the collection of hymns are, the nation's favourite hymn, as voted for by Classic FM listeners, Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer, as well as How Great Thou Art, He Who Would Valiant Be, Dear Lord & Father of Mankind, All Things Bright and Beautiful and many more.
