This highly commendable debut album by this Lancashire five-piece confirms my belief that there are many gifted musicos out there just waiting for a break. Songwriter Ray Symmer favours lyrics with a strong evangelistic message; 'What's Going On?' is most challenging and would sound great on Christian radio - in fact I would like to hear them all. The 10 tracks have a good contrast of styles, straightforward and not without humour; themes ranging from judgement to blessing. 'Termination,' the song about abortion, is the most moving. I particularly like "Revelation' (tempo reminiscent of 'Riders In The Sky') and 'I Am The Lord Your God.' However, my overall favourite is 'Feed My Sheep' - 'Give them water, let them graze/Set them in my field.' I await their next album with keen anticipation.
