Wayne is one of the most gifted worship songwriters and leaders in America and it's great that we Brits have got a new album at last. Produced by Wayne's son Kenny, The Time Is Now' has plenty of fluid playing without quite getting the focus Wayne's best songs deserve. Also, in view of the dearth of Wayne's recordings it was a bit disappointing that there are several other worship writers represented here, particularly when Wayne's version of "Our Confidence Is In The Lord" doesn't compare with Noel Richards' rendition. Having said that, it was good to hear Andrew Price's "One Body" again (the latter being only previously available on a tape by the sorely neglected Springwood) while all Wayne's new songs are deserving of wide church circulation.
