A beautiful collection of songs from one of the behind-the-scenes giants of Nashville CCM at last stepping into the spotlight himself. One or two needed time to grow on me but most were immediately accessible. In the same musical ballpark as Michael W Smith and Chris Eaton, this self-produced album seems to have a life of its own, not just a collection of nice songs, more an entity in itself. I love the intimate vocal sound (lots of compression, very little reverb!) which seems to float effortlessly across the simple but highly effective instrumentation. The recording quality is stunning at times and the musicianship is exemplary as you'd expect from a man hot enough to play Amy Grant and Michael W Smith sessions. And then there's the songs... well, they're great! Particular favourites include "Love Feeds Love", a large emotional track with shovels full of depth and that indefinable something that grabs your heart. It sounds similar to that track "What If God Was One Of Us" by Joan Osborne and has a touch of Sarah McClachlan about it. "My Armageddon" also stands out as a statement of security in Christ even to death "I will go easy cause I will be free/I know what's waiting for me." Suffice it to say, I'm very pleased to have this CD in my rack! Beautiful.

This very talented songwriter/singer/musician finally puts out a full solo cd; way to go Wayne!! I'll never forget the first solo song I heard by him, a song from 1997 compilation "Songs from the Message/The Way of Love". The song title "Rhythm of Grace"; I was totally taken by it, lyrics and all!! Great song for Wayne!! He Brought it to life!! Now getting back to his full length solo project; who cannot forget how famed country singer Garth Brooks had a hit with
"Wrapped Up in You"; Wayne does it just as well!! I luv the cd opener "It's Me Again";"Hanging by a Thread" hits home. Hats off to you Wayne; soo many ccm artists have recorded your songs throughout the ccm years since the 80's;gifted songs to share, thank you!!!I have you on Michael W. Smith's first concert from 1985; Great job on "Restless Heart" Wayne. Your songs are soo well written; a craft of the heart. GOD Bless! -Don
