Wayne's previous album, recorded as Force For Good was a brooding atmospheric piece of rock which earned him a 10 square review. This time round, the songs are generally of a lighter shade and the album is still rock but with a poppier sound. The album still contains those mellow atmospheres on songs like "Sunday Morning" which is a testimony of Wayne's salvation. Wayne is simply a brilliant musician and this has tons of wonderful music flourishes. His varied songwriting covers all the bases from the kiddie chorus and the cheerfulness of "Good Morning Lord" or the early '60s pop pastiche of "Nothing Changes You Like Love" and the wonderful arrangement of "Psalm 84" with its intertwining piano, electrical and acoustic guitars. "Monterey" is a crazy country stomp featuring some of the hottest cotton pickin' guitar! There's a lot of variety here! The album was recorded over a period of time with painful experiences as a backdrop including Wayne's own personal struggles and featured vocalist Karen Sibilia's battle against cancer. Obviously these things influence some of the songwriting but do not diminish the power of finding God in the middle of it all as Wayne describes in "Suffering". I love the honesty! The song is immediately followed by the title song, which refocuses the listener on God. If you like the versatility of Phil Keaggy, perhaps it's time you checked out WSF, the man is a genius and his album is almost perfect!

For those of you who enjoy listening to musicians with
"real" talent, I suggest that you try to see Wayne Scott
Farley. He has got to be the best guitarist I've ever seen,
and I've been around a long time.. He will hold your
attention like no other --- actually, mouths usually remain
open and people leave wondering how on earth he does what he
does.
