Helped out by the Wells Cathedral School Brass Ensemble, organist Rupert Gough and conductor Malcolm Archer, the choir offer an above average set of largely well known hymns. It's girls taking the lead on "There Is A Green Hill Far Away" which may not please the purists but they do a good job while the lilting Irish folk hymn "Lord Of All Hopefulness, Lord Of All Joy", Ralph Vaughan Williams' arrangement of "For All The Saints" and that Welsh warhorse "Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer" are all majestically sung by a choir who seldom sing a note out of place.
