It's only after you've unwrapped the cellophane and loaded this disc on to your CD player that you realise that it has a running time of just 35 minutes. Sneaky? If I were a fan of this lady (from the TV hit Butterflies) or a new Christian looking for some basic teaching and encouraged, I might feel short-changed. What there is, is good enough, of its kind: readings (bible/inspirational) interspersed with songs (most written and competently performed by the lady herself). Whether it does anything for your soul probably depends on how you react to light music. To my ears it sounded too like the fare served up by Sunday School when I was a kid ("Good Morning, Jesus, welcome to my day!") and prompted irreverent visions of the Almighty being treated as a guest on a TV show. Cue 15 seconds. Lights. Camera. Action: "Put his armour on, and praise the Lord!". But my mother-in-law would probably find it came in very handy for early morning meditation. If you like your music and your teaching foursquare, tune in to this.
