"...the reviewers will, if appropriate, attempt to assess the ministry dimension ('anointing') of the album." That's no mean statement and one I pondered on greatly when reviewing this album. By the end of the third track, though, I was decided - this truly is an anointed album. The various soloists have a strong choir backing them, but don't be fooled - Becton only sings in two songs, finding his gift in producing every track. My favourite tracks are "Fall Afresh", in which the Holy Spirit is invited to come and take control - which he most certainly does, taking this song to great spiritual heights. My second fave is "Courage To Journey On" which, not unlike many tracks, opens with a monologue by Becton, which is followed by a short but scorching sax solo. In two tracks, all instruments are played by Sam Kendrick Jr and venture into that grey area where dance and gospel mix, producing ultimately a 'one man Wades' sounding song. This album is URGENTLY recommended, although don't listen to it, worship with it and don't play it in an evangelistic attempt to save the unsaved.
