There have been some wonderfully creative independent releases from individual Vineyard musicians/churches in the past three or four years. This '99 work from WCV is definitely in that mould - a gorgeous and varied collection of new and poignant material featuring striking lead vocals from the likes of Andrew Smith, Kim Johnson, Yvonne Parks and David Ruis (also the album's main songwriters). Standouts include the edgy opener "Fall At Your Feet" and Kirn's achingly devotional "I Am Yours"; not to mention the equally sensitive "Lover Of My Soul", Andrew's beautifully simple "Psalm 91" and quite a few more! This is a moving and deeply worshipful recording - good enough to be compared to those first few releases from Vineyard UK! I love it.
