Now here's an idea. Weave reflective thoughts and scripture with some songs. I used to put comedy pieces in between favourite songs a few years back so I was interested to see how this worked in this department. The answer is... not bad. Firstly the music, there are a number of beautiful songs on offer here. Generally pleasant, relaxed, easy going - "We'll Share These Moments Forever" is the best of the bunch, written by Bill Batstone. And there's room too for Streisand's "Evergreen", sung here by Cynthia Clawson. The bits in between, well, they're okay, but it does seem to get a bit condescending at times and seems to be aimed at those people who may be having more trouble than love in their married relationships. The big problem though is that once you've played it, what next? You certainly wouldn't want to continue hearing the same voice spouting on at you for much more than maybe two playings, and it's too much to carry on fast forwarding all the time. Pleasant enough, but with limited life.
