A woeful collection of 10 well-loved worship songs, which have been distorted beyond all recognition under the guise of "instrumental interpretation." Let me try to describe the sound.if you combine some of the most infuriating muzak with the theme tune to any '80s American soap opera and then add to that the demos from an old Casio keyboard you are heading in the right direction. It has slight gospel undertones with relentless saxophone and organ performances, hitting every note in a vain attempt to sound funky. Presumably both thought and prayer went into this production but it is hard to put a finger on the intention behind the CD or the ministry of the music. If the aim was to produce a mediocre rendition of worship songs then they have succeeded. One positive comment I will make is that the recording is clean, it is just a shame about the lack of original style and flair. Let's hope volume two is a vast improvement.
