When I really want to annoy my neighbours, I always find that reviewing albums like this at midnight does wonders. Deathly grooves that are guaranteed to shake the ornaments off their mantlepiece, vocals that sound like they are being screamed into a very large bucket and seering guitars that loosen the fillings in my teeth. The perfect soundtrack to make friends and influence people at midnight! This is uncompromisingly hardcore and to be honest, it s excellent and very scary, especially Shawn Jonas vocals which, true to the genre, are mostly unintelligible throughout the album. Lyric wise this namechecks God a little more blatantly than their current release. Musically there s plenty that will have you creating your own mosh pit in the comfort of your home as you enjoy the frenzy of Endure, All Else Failed and Resistance. Now let's see, if I just turn this up a little louder, I wonder whether I can get my neighbours to join in?
