Zerostar are a four-piece band based in London who are receiving a lot of attention from many quarters such as radio stations like XFM and 6 Music, and networks such as RMUSIC TV. This, their debut album, shows what the fuss is about by showcasing nine tracks (and one piano mix) of a treasure chest of pop rock that reveals more after each listen. For one thing there are the amazing mix of musical influences such as U2, Feeder, Duran Duran and numerous rock bands across the last three decades. Then there is the positive lyrics of hope - highlighted by the title track which celebrates the recent change of lyrical "style" made by Prince! Add to this is the uncluttered smooth transition from rock anthems to rock ballads to '80s style pop, which makes 'A Rockstar Saved My Life' an engaging album pointing the way to a promising future.
