This time Integrity have compiled a 2CD set of songs, some popular and some less so, from albums by a veritable who's who of the top selling Christian artists. Unlike some of the previous iWorship CDs, which are aimed at resourcing worship groups and leaders, this is more of a sampler for personal consumption. While some tracks, such as "Everyday" by Hillsong United, "Blessed Be Your Name" by Robin Mark and "Days Of Elijah" by Twila Paris are out and out live worship recordings, others are more introspective, studio recordings. Stylistically, there's something for everyone here. Hillsong does what they do best with the big live worship sound on "Made Me Glad". Third Day, Tree63 and Jars Of Clay head up the rock/pop side, while Israel And New Breed, and Martha Munizzi contribute a gospel vibe. For those leaning more towards MOR, Michael W Smith gives a totally professional, if somewhat clinical, rendition of "Above All" and Natalie Grant just about takes the lead on a rather uncharacteristically mushy vocal arrangement of "Awesome In This Place". My personal favourite is the gritty "My Jesus" from Todd Agnew (". . .My Jesus would never be accepted in my church, the blood and dirt on his feet might stain the carpet. . ."). But be warned: if you're a fan of Darlene Zschech's "Shout To The Lord" you may not be impressed by Lincoln Brewster's mangling of this worship classic. In short, this is an interesting collection of worship songs, but far from essential.
