A God given connection

Over the winter of 2000/2001 God began to establish a strategic connection between two very different ministries, but with very similar hearts - a passion to see Christ's Kingdom established in our nation.

Says Obii Pax-Harry, Founder of the Women Arise prayer movement: "One day Women Arise teams gathered for prayer. The Lord spoke to us concerning future events for our ministry and the nation. Particularly the Lord told us 'I will connect you with a radio station called Perez that you will work with'. I remember saying to myself 'Perez? What a name for a radio station!'

What Obii was not aware of was that in the previous two years God had been speaking to the Cross Rhythms Christian media organisation direct from Genesis 38, the story of the eventual birth of a child called Perez - a name which means Breakthrough! God was clearly telling Cross Rhythms that in their identity and spiritual make up they carried a Breakthrough spirit. At this time in our nation God is looking for Righteous Broadcasting.

Over the years, in obedience and a clear sense of kindred spirits, Women Arise and Cross Rhythms have built closely together, developing a powerful combination of strategic intercessory prayer with media that is able to engage with our communities. Pictorially we see the partnership like a 'nuclear arrow' - the radio breaking through with the nuclear power of prayer!
