SHOW INFO

Close Encounters - the programme that takes you to the heart of the story. And let's face it, we all have a story. Your and my experience of life can be the same, but it's how we deal with it that matters. Everybody you hear on Close Encounters has faced a challenge. For some it's a health problem, sometimes involving addiction to drugs or alcohol. For others, relationships have broken down. Others were born into seemingly impossible situations where they suffered abuse and neglect. The one thing all these stories have in common is that the people involved have found the answer to their problem and their life has been restored.

The thing I like about true stories, or testimonies, is that they are real. For the person sharing their story, it can be a painful experience. So why do they do it? Quite simply, to help others with the same help they themselves have received. So join me for an uplifting and encouraging hour from 8-9pm every Sunday evening, here on Cross Rhythms.

Programme Schedule

7 June 2009

Jane Urquhart is the wife of Clive, the senior minister at the massive Kingdom Faith church in Horsham. Her experience of life has bought her through much trauma, starting in her childhood with family break-up. She tells us her fascinating story including finding faith in Jesus.

24 May 2009

Carl Budden is the Head of Regeneration at the South West of England Regional Development Agency. That means he's quite a responsible man!

17 May 2009

Vivienne Slade is 57 years old and says she's happier now than she's ever been. Quite a statement because until quite recently, she battled with alcoholism and anxiety. A gripping story.

10 May 2009

Gylnis Cooper was engaged to be married for 16 years when her reluctant fiancé finally agreed to the wedding after becoming very ill. Their wedding day was also the day he died. Glynis really knows the meaning of 'bitter/sweet' and talks about how her Christian faith has helped her come to terms with the sorrow deep inside.
