Comment: Are you kidding? This CD is probably the greatest representation of what Rap should be: Provocatively Aggressive, Entirely Intimate, Steadily (but not constantly) Reflective, From the Obvious Heart of the Artist, Genuinely & Impressively Poetic, all Wrapped inside of one of the most Phenomenal Talents the Industry has ever seen. You compare him to Pac and Snoop, then turn around and say he is average, but shows potential? Listen, there is nothing average about this CD. It may be overly pushy and very indulgent (i.e. I'll admit the young man is a bit of a braggart), but that is the nature of all youthful, passionate music. The difference with Sevin is he sees himself as weak, confused, and desperate. That is what separates him from his contemporaries. Others have similar talent (vocally, I have yet to find a better lyricist), but no one I have ever heard matches his intensity together with his vulnerable authenticity. This is possibly the rawest and most head-jerking album no one has ever heard. Shows potential? Well, that’s better than what I can say for this indecisive and incomplete review.
