Comment: i've nothing against greenbelt booking non christian bands - just as long as they are either producing music amazingly beautiful and creative, or are at least pretty good and will conect to greenbelt either through shared social justice campaigning or on a spiritual level (artists strugggling with faith often create better art about it than those prepared to label themselves believers) . the problem with shed seven is they are not making anything new or excitting, have no point of conection to the fest its basically a greatest hits package from a 90 s band who were never that great anyway. honestly though they were the only weak band on mainstage. a lot of it wasn't my personal taste but you cant question the quality. still a great festival, personal highs include lobelia lawson and ellie williams in the performance cafe and foy vance on mainstage. micheal mcdermott really deserved a slot in centaur in my opinion. stand out new name this year prob goes to hannah atkins - i missed her set but loved her album enough to have organised a leeds gig for her later this month.
