Comment:	There's too little of albums like this in the Christian world. Theres some very very probing and insightful gems on this brilliant alternative outting from Daniel Amos. The guys defintely have reached a peak here, but just keep on getting better and better all the time. One can feel the presence of Christ behind every single tune. Return of the Beat Menace is a brilliantly illuminating song of the po facedism of many a Christian, and also the state of the church itself. Anyone who wants to praise the Father with originality is cursed and thrown to the wolves. Strange Animals really just sums up the human condition brilliantly. Its what we all feel and what we're all like. Terry Taylor has a knack of revealing the sick heart of man with songs like this. Darn Floor Big Bite is one of those amazing songs that rings with brilliant mood and emotion and deep piercing words. The mighty power of our risen Lord is not to be glossed over! The Earth Household has some wonderous keyboard work, which is almost haunting in a way. And the lyric is pure and frank of what any real Christian desires: to be away from this place soon. Safety Net is a song of assurance of how Christ cares for us, and the theme actually resonates through the album all along. Pictures of the Gone World is another song of loss and hope and the dire state of humanity. Divine Instant is a brilliant love song, totally different in approach and effect. I love the simple watery flowing tune. Half Light has to be one of the strongest songs on the record, for it has an honesty that is seldom present in music and heart. You really feel you are seeing all the groups hearts with songs like these. The Unattainable Earth has one of the best riffs ever from Greg Flesch, and The Shape of Air is beautiful hope. It is so sad there are not more albums like this terrific outting from Terry and the guys. But I thank God theyve done this one. Its helped me so much on my walk.
