Comment: I thank God for The Consolers. My mother Mrs. Princetta Mackey actually had The Consolers visit their home in Brooklyn, New York in the late 50's. I have their album Joy In the Morning and play it often after church. I really love the song" I Promised the Lord that I would hold out". The album is still very inspirational and brings joy and tears to my eyes.
