Hmmmm. Canadian AOR! Singer/keyboardist Tim Gray and guitarist Jeff Wesseling are the duo at the heart of this north American band and this independent release has some strong points. Jeff's guitar skills shine through and Tim's textured keys give the album a full sound, however there is something missing. Polished though this may be, there's some oomph missing in the mix. It may be the programmed drums that don't quite cut it or perhaps it's the undoubtedly passionate but not quite in tune singing of Mr Gray. Can't argue with the ministry content of what the guys are doing and with songs that are uncompromising lyrically. That's all well and good but somehow the deficiencies are strong enough to distract me away from what is there. Also, the musical style might sit well in North America and be expertly played but not sure that it really makes sense to UK ears.
