Solid beats and chunky riffs carry you swiftly through this 32 minute disc. As for influences, the usual suspects are audible - Foo Fighters melodies and Deftones style break-downs abound, and there are touches of Soundgarden and Nirvana peppered throughout. Meanwhile token acoustic guitar ballads "When The Light" and "Hole In My Hand" will keep Day Of Fire good with the Staind/Nickleback crowd. Perhaps it's not fair to keep up these comparisons, but these names will either sell you the CD or put you off. It's a good second album with solid production and catchy songs, but in no way is it groundbreaking - perhaps unsurprising in the now overcrowded hard rock market. You can tell from listening that these guys must put on a great show, and that's often where music of this nature finds its audience - it's a shame that we're unlikely to ever see them perform in the UK. The songs are lyrically positive and lead singer Josh Brown has a great testimony. If you're still mourning for Cobain and you like Chris Cornell's work with Audioslave, you'll thank God for Day Of Fire.

Product Description
In just over a year since their debut release, Day Of Fire has accomplished many things most new artists only dream of - awards, tours and television appearances. When you ask lead singer Joshua Brown what he’s learned from all this, it’s not about the awards of places that they’ve travelled but the people they’ve met. 'I want to show people the love of God in action, loving people for who they are.'

On their second release the band reaches out through song on topics such as addiction, abuse and abandoment and offers hope in the love of God. 'This album is about identifying with the pain and insecurity that we all feel as people and finding hope in the love that is far greater than anything we have ever experienced,' says Josh Brown. 'I realise we are all in a desperate and constant need of the love of God.' It’s this passion for connecting with people and encouraging them that sets Day Of Fire apart.
