Mike Rimmer interviewed CHARLES NORMAN back in 2010 about the controversial Fallen Angel documentary
Continued from page 3
Mike: Was Daniel supposed to send DNA for Larry to take to a clinic?
Charles: No, that wasn't mentioned.
Mike: They were meant to do the test in Australia and send the results?
Charles: Yeah. Get a DNA test: that was the demand. 'You need to go get a DNA test, and I'll do the same.' When you go to a lab, they don't just take a cotton swab and stick it in your mouth. They fingerprint you, they take pictures of you, so they can be certain there was no imposter taking your place. The letters are too long to go into deeply, but Larry wanted a test and it didn't happen. So for them to come around now, when Larry is conveniently not around, and demand a DNA test - one that's inconclusive, from me - these people don't believe any evidence they're shown anyway. They've made so many claims, and we've produced documents and said, 'Your claim is wrong and here's the document that proves it'. They yell, 'Fake! Forgery!'. You're aware of that: you've talked to Sabatino.
Mike: I still feel for Daniel Robinson, sitting in Australia, and you're not allowing him to discover whether Larry is his father.
Charles: I've never actually spoken with him. I spoke once with his mom, Jennifer. The rest of the contact I've had with them has been from Jennifer's husband, Andrew Wallace, who wasn't even around back then. He's the one who's constantly attacking me and my family on the internet. That's the only person from their camp that I've been hearing from. Then David Di Sabitino, of course, is their spokesperson: he writes letters on their behalf. The only contact I've had from Daniel, supposedly, is the lawsuit: Daniel Robinson sued me. If he wants to talk to me, he can. In fact, Allen Flemming has been corresponding with Daniel, saying, 'Why don't you get in touch with Charles? Here's his email address. Contact him. He's a cool guy.' Daniel, apparently, is going to do that. I'm waiting. If he wants to contact me, he can. I'd rather it doesn't come as a summons, a lawsuit.
Mike: If Daniel Robinson is Larry's son, he should be a part of your family. How he's been neglected over these years is a sad thing.
Charles: How he's allegedly been neglected, you mean? You're saying 'if he's Larry son', then you're saying 'he has been neglected'.
Mike: There's strong evidence that he is Larry's son, and Larry, during his life, was choosing not to sort it out. Now you're choosing not to sort it out.
Charles: How was Larry choosing not to sort it out by demanding a DNA test? How does that make sense?
Mike: It depends how the DNA test was going to be done.
Charles: It was never done.
Mike: Don't you think it's a very sad thing?
Charles: It think it's very sad that Daniel Robinson is stuck in the middle of all this. I'm sad that I'm stuck in the middle: it really has nothing to do with me.
I met Larry twice and throughout my life his music has Helped me in a closer Walk with God if it was not for the Music i don’t know where I would be in Christ. To this day I still listen and Broadcast his songs on the Radio. It will be a Joy to meet him in Heaven and see what Music he can come up with. Love you Larry see you soon. Garret G
