The current Board of Trustees are as follows:
Alan Barker JP is the Managing Director of two companies in Preston Lancashire. Base Systems is a Vehicle electronic equipment specialist supplier and installer - Vuetek Systems is a specialist designer, supplier and installer of CCTV, access control/door entry. He serves as a Magistrate at the Preston City Courts. Alan has been a trustee since its registration and is currently Joint Chair of the Board. His role is to oversee the practical aspects of the business of Cross Rhythms. He became a supporter of Cross Rhythms before getting more involved.
Chris Cole is the Founder and former CEO of Cross Rhythms. He has been involved with Christian Broadcasting for over thirty years and has been a Trustee and Executive Director of United Christian Broadcasters as well as UK and Ireland Regional Director for GOD TV. He is now Joint Chairman of the Board of Cross Rhythms. He has also been a Trustee for over twenty years of a Rehabilitation Centre in Devon called Gilead.
John Bowles is from Suffolk and has many years’ experience of working in the energy industry. He used his expertise to develop the trust and company registration and served as the company secretary before joining the board as a trustee. His specialist area is to maintain the filing of requirements to the Charity Commission and Inland Revenue and the procedures for the trust to consider. Risk assessments, health and safety and other practical issues are his specialist tasks.
Rob Andrews is a partner in a firm of solicitors Andrews Law based in Bridgnorth with a specialist role in Commercial law. He was a strong supporter of Cross Rhythms following his own “personal connection”. Following this, he became more involved, in particular helping to develop the strategy for other groups to broadcast on FM starting with 'Cross Rhythms Plymouth'. The board had been looking to appoint a solicitor to give the board the best legal considerations at meetings and are delighted that Rob is with us as a trustee who now has the responsibility for all legal issues.
Andrew Boyd Provides quality oversight of our journalism. Andrew has 30 years' experience in journalism in press, radio, TV and online media, and 20 years' experience as a media consultant and trainer for senior corporate spokespeople and senior civil servants. His heart is to pursue excellence in communication. His specialities are: Media and presentation training; television news production; producing effective, well-targeted news releases; human rights reporting. He is the author of Broadcast Journalism, the leading textbook for training broadcasters, and How to Handle Media Interviews.
Deborah Mitchell is a Director of Deborah Mitchell Ltd and an Advisor to the Board of Aglow ministries. She is the Founder and Pastor of Oasis CoTN aligned with Tony Fitzgerald with a background of working in mental health & substance abuse in the community. Pioneer of women’s Connect ministry. Spiritual mentor to church leaders. Leadership training. Deborah’s heart is to raise and release sons and to forge strong relationships with other churches and ministries.
Consultants To The Board
Tony Fitzgerald is the Founder and Team Leader of Church Of The Nations, a family of apostolic clusters reaching into over 50 nations. Tony has been a contributor to Cross Rhythms as both a festival speaker and a trustee since 1991 and is now on the Board of Reference as an advisor. With a strong understanding of the Father Heart of God his contribution to the board of strong mature spiritual insight has been, and continues to be, vitally important to the steering of the CR ship!
Martin Scott is a leader with a background in the Pioneer Church stream with a heart to help the church reach those outside the Church. Martin is particularly focussed on the church engaging with the marketplace and has much to offer the CR community radio model. He also has strong connections to leadership within the church community of Stoke on Trent, and is well versed in the complexities of connecting church and wider community.
