Self-harm

I pray for Ellie, and for you to restore her broken spirit at this time. I pray for her to find a safe place for all her emotional pain to come out, where she can be shown your love through people who will counsel and support her through her struggle. As I pray this verse comes into my head and heart John 8:36 "You will KNOW the truth, and the truth shall set you free." The truth is Ellie that you are loved by the LORD, and He is not afraid of your pain and distress. It takes time to recover from self-harm and the pain it causes (I am still dealing with the roots of my self-harming), but it really helped me to know that God sees what is going on inside and He doesn't mind us expressing it to Him, however ugly and agonising our feelings and thoughts might be. His patience is everlasting and He will walk with you always even tho' it may take a long time for you to recover from whatever is causing your pain. I will be praying for you. Matthew 28:20, Isaiah 43:4(a), and 5
