Original Prayer

Father Lord Jesus, you know my heart cry to you. I've been battling with this addiction for years... Since I was 12. Father I ask for forgiveness in the way I have continuously grieved Your Spirit by continuing to indulge in our fleshly desires and lusts. Father let Your grace cover my iniquities. Remember my sins no more... Do not let them hinder me from knowing You. Do not cast me from Your presence. But instead renew a Right Spirit within me. Father I want to thank you because I know that this addiction is coming to an end. It is has been FINISHED, COMPLETED ON THE CROSS. I do not have to struggle any longer... I just need to leave it at the foot of the cross. I thankyou because it's not that I am so much tempted any more... The cravings have disappeared... It's more to do with the habit. Father help me to kick the habit for good. Help me to immerse myself in Your Word and to engage myself in prayer with you on a CONSISTENT BASIS. Father I know that you love me and You will never leave me nor forsake me. I'm thankful that you're hearing me right now. I thankyou because it is not by my power nor by my might but by Your Spirit. Thankyou because I am a free. Thankyou because my other Brothers and Sisters in Christ that have posted similar difficulties ARE FREE. WE ARE NOT BOUND WE HAVE BEEN SET LOOSE BY THE POWER OF YOUR BLOOD! Thankyou because we are no longer condemned. There is NO CONDEMNATION for those WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS! Lord I thankyou... Father I ask for peace... Peace that passes all understanding... Father let it flow through my Brothers' and Sisters' hearts and spirits. Father I thankyou once again. Glory be unto Your Name... Let our lives be testimonies unto others. The enemy has failed... He is a liar THE FATHER OF ALL LIES. We are victorious, We are more than conquerors! Hallowed be Your Name! Thankyou Father... I just praise Your Name... I worship You... I give You thanks and praise... Thankyou Jesus... You are worthy. King of Kings and Lord of Lords I worship You. In the Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Lord I thank you for each of these men who have honestly confided in you and trusted you for the power to deliver them. Lord Jesus, YOU do not steal from us, it is you who came that we may have life in abundance. I pray that the gift of sexuality would not be a thing that steals, kills and destroys these men, let it be a source of life and of joy within marriage, let it be a thing subject to them and not controlling them. Lord help their attitudes toward women to be pure and also to be blessed. God I pray that the unashamed intimacy of marriage would be their portion, and that the substitute of pornography would be shown up for the counterfeit and lie that it is. Lord deliver them from any root beneath this problem - loneliness, frustration, guilt - guard them with the armour oh lord, let the shield of faith and breastplate of righteousness and helmet of salvation defend them from the fiery darts of the enemy. Let them overcome. Amen.

Hi i also struggle with this area and would be keen to know how you avoid or get around the lust factor when online. its all too easy with only that craving satisfied with one click.... I sometimes think that the web is like an inherant evil, useful in some ways but in others it can devour us. I fall all the time. Better recently but still has had a negative effect on my relationships and how i see women. It has to be prevented the core of our beings will rot and we will be left with no character or backbone. I will pray on for you. Peace J

Lord God, thank You for allowing me to share Olusegun's prayer and for AndyR's faithful response. Bless them both Heavenly Father and keep them strong in the faith as they follow the path of obedience first walked by Jesus Christ, our Lord, Saviour and Friend. In Jesus' Name I pray for continued deliverance that we may be ransomed, healed, restored and forgiven because You came to forgive us for our sins and to set us free for Your liberating service. Let it be, dear Lord. Hallelujah! Amen.

Lord Jesus thank you for Olusegun and his honesty and his openness, Lord Jesus I pray freedom and peace into his life, in your name Lord Jesus I claim freedom from lust, masterbation and porn for this dear brother, I claim in your name Lord Jesus a breaking of all that holds this brother bondage to these things, Lord Jesus let this day be the day that this brother knows victory over these sins and that from this day on he will know real and true freedom though you and for your glory Lord Jesus, again for this brother I pray that if ever he is tempted he will be overwhelmed by your holy spirit and that he will be given a vision of your suffering on that cross for him, Lord free this brother and all those others caught in this lustfull bondage, I ask this in the awesome and precious name Lord Jesus Amen
