Original Prayer

Loving Heavenly Father, you know (because I have returned to You for forgiveness time and time and time again) how easily I drift into porn sites or certain TV channels, even after a night of prayer at church or a poignant Bible study session. I determine each time never to lust/disrespect the female form/sink so low..... and yet I do (even now that desire lurks in the old man whose vestiges remain like a reflex action). Help me, Lord God, in Jesus' Name. I am in a mixed marriage where my faith is not accepted and sex is not an option. Help me, Lord, because I want to do Your perfect and Holy will all the time - in between prayer times (which are many) - in order to be a self denying disciple of Jesus Christ, my Lord, Saviour, Friand and Mediator. AMEN

Dear Lord, I thank you for these brothers and sisters who would take dominion over their bodies and minds and live in an altogether holy way before you. Lord Jesus I pray for Knight's marriage, I pray that there will be a spirit of truth and opennes in it, that despite the differences in beliefs, that honesty and intimacy will be restored so that Knight would not be opened to temptation. Lord let his wife renew her love toward him, and let his encounters with porn not taint the love between them. Cleanse and restore them both so that they will be like Adam and Eve, unashamed with each other and fulfilled with all good things. Amen. Keep it real Knight, you are a warrior. God bless you.

Hallelujah, Lord God! Just as Satan was foiled in his bid to prove Job unfaithful, so You have intervened and transformed my thinking from pronobsessive to positivelyexpectingvictory! Break down the barriers and strengthen each person praying in this prayer room, Lord Jesus, so that we can be prayerfully anticipating progress in 2007. AMEN

Lord Jesus how many of your children are trapped in the claws of addiction to pornography, this makes me angry that so many are snared to this, Lord I pray for Knight and all the brothers and sisters who are in bondage to pornography, please please please break these chains Lord and free them from this bondage so that they may become the people you would have them be, Lord Jesus bind the powers and principalities that bind these people to porn and break the hold in your name Lord Jesus Christ, I ask this in your precious and awesome name Lord Jesus Amen
