It all began in August 2008 when Anna Craig uploaded a video of herself singing a cover of Taylor Swift's song "Picture To Burn" on YouTube. Now only three years later Anna's YouTube videos have had over 1.9 million views and her YouTube channel has over 10,000 subscribers! Living in Alabama and just about to join the University of Mississippi, 18 year-old Anna is a devout Christian and sings in her church youth band. However, her EP takes on a more mainstream country approach with songs dealing with themes such as teenage love as in the song "In Disguise" or patriotism in "Come Back Home" which is currently receiving considerable airplay on country radio stations in the States. My favourite track on this EP is "Everywhere I Go" which is an up-beat song with a great feel-good vibe. I was a little disappointed with the lyrical content of "The Secret" and feel that an opportunity was missed to express a deeper emotion other than "I really like you". However, on the whole this is an excellently produced modern country project.
