Now a rock gospel veteran those seminal early albums with 2nd Chapter Of Acts must seem a long way off to Ms. Herring. Her high, somewhat thin-toned voice has always been hard to show off to best effect on album and I'm not sure that all the arrangements, largely synth-dominated accompaniments, translate too well here. Annie can still electrify on a ballad, and clearly she loves the Lord. But there's a lack of creative focus here which pushes the album into the 'also released' pile.
